Advent Wreath

The Advent wreath has 4 candles lit successively. A Germanic tradition that marks the wait for Christmas.

The wreath uses fresh fir and 4 candles (white for classic, red for traditional). On a tray, a flat vase, or a metal ring. Add holly, pinecones, cinnamon.

Mistake: an Advent wreath with unsecured candles that risk falling. Secure the candles firmly and never leave them unattended.

You can use a variety of natural materials such as fir, holly, pine cones, or wood branches. Wicker, metal, or ceramic wreaths are also very pretty.

Opt for red, green, or white candles for a traditional look. You can also play with shapes and sizes to add personality to your Advent wreath.

The Advent wreath is usually placed on a coffee table in the living room or on the dining room table. You can also hang it on the wall or place it on a high piece of furniture so that it is clearly visible.

To keep your Advent wreath as long as possible, water the plants regularly and replace used candles. Avoid placing it near a heat source that could dry it out.

In addition to lighting a candle each Sunday, some traditions involve hanging figurines, ribbons, or dried fruits on the Advent wreath. Some families also add small gifts.
