Corian

Corian is a thermoformable solid surface. With no visible seams, it creates seamless countertops and sinks.

Corian can be used as a countertop with an integrated sink (seamless = hygienic), a curved shelf, or a wall covering. White is the most popular color.

Mistake: cutting directly on Corian, as it scratches. Use a cutting board; fine scratches can be sanded, but it's a lot of work.

Corian offers several advantages in decoration: it is scratch, stain, and impact resistant, easy to maintain and repair, and comes in a wide range of colors to suit all decor styles.

You should choose the thickness of Corian according to its intended use. For countertops, a thickness of 12 mm is generally recommended, while for sinks and other elements, the thickness can be 6 to 9 mm.

Corian is composed of acrylic and natural minerals, which gives it interesting technical properties: it is non-porous, UV-resistant, fire-retardant, and antibacterial.

Corian maintenance is very simple: cleaning with soapy water is sufficient for daily care. For more stubborn stains, you can use a specific Corian cleaning product or a little baking soda.

Corian requires careful installation by qualified professionals, as it must be thermoformed and glued without visible seams for an optimal aesthetic result. This requires specific skills.
