To grow a pilea at home, preferably choose a terracotta or ceramic pot that will allow the plant to breathe well. Avoid plastic pots which retain too much moisture. Opt for a container slightly larger than the pilea's root system so that it can develop harmoniously.

Pilea propagates very easily by cuttings. Take a young shoot with a few leaves, let it dry for a few days, then plant it in a small pot with a mixture of soil and sand. Water regularly and in a few weeks, you will have a new pilea to give away or replant at home.
